About
Josh Higgins was born and raised in San Diego, California. Surrounded by a booming creative culture, he found a way to contribute to it through his music, headlining clubs around town
and on national tours. As bass player for fluf, an iconic San Diego rock trio, Josh traveled the country as the group toured with notable acts like Jawbreaker, Fugazi, Blink 182, Sublime and many others. He also experienced the music business from the inside when fluf signed with MCA/Universal Records.
By the mid 1990s his music led him to study design and eventually to establish himself in the field not just locally, but internationally through his design work for Fender Musical Instruments, The Tony Hawk Foundation, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, KROQ FM, design firm, Miriello Grafico and Perry Ellis International.
With his involvement in the San Diego design community, Josh landed a seat on the American Institute of Graphic Arts, San Diego Board of Directors. There, he curated successful exhibits and lecture series for local and visiting photographers and designers. His work with AIGA continues to allow him to contribute to San Diego's growing design community and to mentor art and design students. And somewhere in there he continues to play music and produce award winning work for clients.
